The two crossed paths when Spicer was 18. Per The Sun, Tyson’s then-promoter Don King introduced them but later told Tyson to stay away from her. They later dated casually when she was 23.

Spicer went to federal prison for six months in 2008 for allegedly defrauding money from a company owned by her father. Per reports, she found out she was pregnant with Tyson’s child before entering prison.

Over the years, Tyson dealt with substance abuse. He decided to change and later married the woman who he credits for staying by his side. The two got married two weeks after the death of Tyson’s four-year-old daughter, Exodus.

“I’m very happy me and my wife got together,” Tyson told The New York Post, “because I don’t know how I would have survived out there.

"I’m just happy I got involved with her. It’s truly a life-saving experience.”
