Arsenal could make an ambitious transfer move for West Ham United star Mohamed Kudus if Leandro Trossard heads to the Saudi Pro League in 2025.

The Gunners were linked with a offer for the Ghanaian international prior to his switch from Ajax to the London Stadium at the start of 2023/24 season.

He impressed on a debut EPL campaign, with eight goals in Premier League action and 14 in all competitions, as part of an eye-catching first year in English football.

An ability to score goals from midfield is a key trait Mikel Arteta is looking for to bolster his squad to reduce the reliance on Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

Arsenal's interest in Kudus could be stepped up in either January or next summer if Al-Ittihad reignite their rumoured previous interest in Trossard.

A summer loan offer for the versatile Belgian forward was rejected by Arsenal, with Arteta viewing him as a vital squad player ahead of a packed schedule in 2024/25.

Trossard's Arsenal contract expires at the end of the 2025/26 season and the club could view this as their final attempt to bring in a transfer fee.

Despite scoring 12 EPL goals last season, Trossard is not a first choice pick for Arteta in a full-strength Arsenal team, so he could be an exit option to raise funds for Kudus.

However, as per reports from the Daily Mirror, the gap between the potential fee brought in for Trossard and West Ham's expected asking price for Kudus could be almost double.

Al-Ittihad are rumoured to be ready with an opening £40m ($52m) offer for Trossard with the Hammers pricing Kudus at £89m ($115m) due his contract running until 2028 - plus the option for an extra 12 months.
